Author of play, "The Interrogation of Miriam of Nazareth." Produced in Paris by Stephanie Campion and the Moving Parts Theatre group. Produced in Omaha in 2005 by Baby D Productions: nominated for three Theatre Arts Guild Awards, winning for "Best Original Play."Small speaking role role in Alexander Payne's "Citizen Ruth," extra in Payne's "About Schmidt." Theatre and film critic for Omaha World-Herald for 16 years and for WCCO Radio, Minneapolis, for six years. Helped contribute archival material for A&E TV biography of Henry Fonda. A film scholar with a PhD, he has taught film study and film history at colleges and universities, including Tulane, and has recently contributed articles to the new film encyclopedia, "Movies in American History," with the entries on Marlon Brando, Fred Astaire, "East of Eden" and "The Magnificent Ambersons."
